Create a season

Everything else sits inside a season: the workouts on days, the cycles that annotate them, and the competitions the team builds toward.

  1. Open Plan in the sidebar.
  2. Start a new season. The wizard has four steps.
  3. The season — set a name, the start date, the end date, and the weekdays you normally train.
  4. Goal competitions — add the meets you build toward, each with a date and an A, B or C priority.
  5. Cycles — read the macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles the wizard proposes. Change anything you disagree with.
  6. Ready — check the summary, then create the season.

Nothing is written until the last step. One request creates the whole season.

The wizard uses your A-goal dates to shape the season.

For a season with two peaks, for example indoor and outdoor, it puts the turn between them at the widest gap between two A goals. With no A goals it falls back to the midpoint.

You can still add meets later. The cycles do not move on their own afterward.

A season carries one of three statuses.

Status What it means
Draft You are still building it.
Active It is the running season. Athletes read their week from it.
Completed It is the record. Days open read only.

Activate a season from the actions menu on the season page. Only a draft can be activated.

Complete it when it ends. Completing also merges every branch that is still running, on the last day of the season.

If you completed a season too early, reopen it from the same menu. Reopening restores the branches that completing closed.

The athlete app reads the active season that covers today. A draft never reaches an athlete, and last season’s dates never bleed into this one.

The actions menu also renames a season and changes its dates.

The training days are editable from the season page. They are a seed for filling weeks, so changing them never moves a workout you already placed.
