Teams and training groups

A team is one coaching staff and their sprinters. Every person in StrideUp belongs to exactly one team, and has one role in it.

The team is the boundary of everything else. A season, a workout, a library and a competition all belong to one team, and no other team can read them.

The team also carries a timezone. That timezone decides the hour athletes get their morning reminder.

A training group is a part of a team that trains together. Groups are usually split by age category or by event focus, for example “U18 sprints” or “hurdles”.

Each athlete belongs to one group, or to none. There is no way to put an athlete in two groups at once.

One season serves every group. The groups share most of their training, and a group takes its own session only on the days you give it one.

A group is also what a goal points at, so a competition can target one group or the whole team.

A coach sees the whole team, whatever the group. Groups organise training, and they leave access alone.

The plan belongs to the team. A group takes its own session on a day through a branch.
