The three libraries

A team keeps three libraries, each for a different size of reusable piece.

An exercise is a single movement: a warm-up drill, a lift, a core move. Each one carries a category:

  • strength
  • plyometric
  • drill
  • core
  • mobility
  • other

A coach drops an exercise into a section instead of typing the name again. That also keeps the naming steady across a season.

The workouts library keeps whole sessions, unplaced and connected to nothing.

A library workout carries a focus, and it can carry several. The focus is what you filter and search by:

  • acceleration
  • max velocity
  • speed endurance
  • tempo
  • strength
  • power and plyometrics
  • recovery

Placing a library workout copies it onto the day. The copy is independent from that moment.

The weeks library keeps week patterns, each a microcycle’s worth of workouts. Placing one fills a week with a copy of each day.

This is where most repetition comes from. A coach builds a good week once, then places it wherever the season needs it.

You can archive a workout or a week. An archived item leaves the pickers, and anything already placed stays as it is.

Archive works on the library. Draft works on what athletes see.

Nothing you place stays connected to the library item it came from. Every placement is its own copy.
