Availability and rest
Training days
Section titled “Training days”A season carries the weekdays a team normally trains. You set them when you create the season, and you can change them later.
StrideUp uses them when it fills a stretch of the season from a pattern. It never writes a day on its own, and it never stops you planning a Sunday.
Rest is a real placement
Section titled “Rest is a real placement”An empty day and a rest day are different things.
| Unplanned | Rest | |
|---|---|---|
| Means | The coach has not planned it yet | The coach prescribed rest |
| Athlete sees | Nothing for that day | A rest day |
| Stored as | Nothing | A placement, like a workout |
Rest follows whoever you are viewing, so one group can rest while another trains. You remove it the same way you clear any day.
Unavailable windows
Section titled “Unavailable windows”An unavailable window marks days one athlete cannot train: a holiday, work travel, exams, an injury break.
The window creates an empty branch over those days, so the athlete’s plan reads as rest for that period. The branch merges back when they return, and the athlete follows the team plan again from that date.
You do not clear their days one by one, and the team plan stays as it is.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”An unavailable window records that you did not expect the athlete. Attendance on the day is something you still track your own way.
