Athlete quickstart
Your coach either invites you by email or gives you a join code. After that you use StrideUp on your phone. The web app is for coaches only.
The app is not in the public app stores yet. Your coach gives you the install link.
1. Sign in
Section titled “1. Sign in”- Install the app and open it.
- Select Sign in.
- Sign in with the same email address your coach invited.
- Use Google, or ask for a one-time code by email.
You join your team automatically. Your coach does not need to accept anything.
If your coach gave you a code instead, the app asks for it. Type it in and your coach gets a request to add you. See Join a team.
If the app says you have no team and you were expecting an invite, the email address does not match. Tell your coach which address you used.
2. Find your week
Section titled “2. Find your week”The app has three tabs.
- Today shows today’s workout, or a rest day.
- This week shows the seven days of the current week.
- Profile has your personal bests, your one-rep maxes, your results and your settings.
Select a day to open the full workout: the warm-up, the running blocks, the strength work and the core work.
Your week is empty until your coach publishes it. A day can also say Rest day, which means your coach prescribed rest.
3. File your check-in
Section titled “3. File your check-in”Your coach reads the check-in each morning. It takes about twenty seconds.
- Open the check-in from the Today tab.
- Pick a word for your sleep, your energy and your soreness.
- If one body area is sore, mark that area.
- Add a note if something needs words. This step is optional.
- Save the check-in.
Each scale runs from worst to best, for example Very sore through to None for soreness.
You can update a check-in later the same day.
4. Record your numbers
Section titled “4. Record your numbers”Open the Profile tab for the rest.
- Personal bests show your best value per event, lift or test.
- One-rep maxes come from a set you log. StrideUp computes the maximum for you.
- Recent results list the competition results you filed. Add yours after a meet.
Your coach uses these numbers to prescribe intensity, for example “95% of your 200m best”.
5. Set your reminders
Section titled “5. Set your reminders”Open Profile, then Notifications. There you set which reminders you get and when. The morning reminder uses the timezone of your team.
