What StrideUp is

StrideUp is a training platform for track and field sprint coaching. A coaching staff and their sprinters work in it as one team.

It runs one loop. The coach plans, the athletes report back, and the coach adapts the plan. That loop repeats all season.

Planning reduces the work of building a season. A coach writes a workout once and reuses it. Exercises, workouts and whole weeks live in libraries. The season is modelled as nested cycles, from macrocycle down to the single workout.

Monitoring closes the loop. Athletes file a short check-in each morning, record personal bests, and file competition results. The coach reads that signal and changes the plan where it needs to change.

The coach works in the web app. All planning and monitoring happens there: the season, the calendar, the libraries and the team overview.

The athlete uses the phone app. It shows this week’s workouts, the morning check-in, personal bests and competition results.

A team follows one shared plan. When an athlete is injured, sick or run down, that athlete branches off onto an individual plan. The branch merges back when the athlete recovers.

One plan serves the group, and a change for one person leaves everyone else on the team plan.

StrideUp covers sprint training and the feedback around it. It does no social feed, no general gym tracking, no nutrition, and no endurance training.

It also does no meet registration and no official results. Competitions in StrideUp are goals to peak toward, and results feed the training.
