Roles and permissions
A person belongs to one team and has one role in it. The role decides what that person can see and change.
A coach can also carry a title, for example “Strength Coach”. The title is for display only and carries no permissions.
The three roles
Section titled “The three roles”Head Coach owns the team. This role owns the season plan, the workouts and the membership of the team.
Assistant Coach works inside the plan. This role builds and places workouts and invites people, but does not shape the season itself.
Athlete is a sprinter the team trains. Athletes use the phone app. The web app signs them out to the app.

The role is set when they arrive
Section titled “The role is set when they arrive”You pick the role when you invite the person. The role does not change afterward, and a second invite to the same address does not replace it. Pick the role with care.
Someone who arrives through the join code is always an Athlete. A code is shared with a whole squad, so it must not be able to produce a person who can invite other people. Invite an assistant coach by email.
A Head Coach can still change two things about a member: the training group of an athlete, and the title of a coach. A Head Coach can also deactivate a member, which ends their access on their next request.
